Brooke Lau is a Piedmont native with over 10 years experience in the barber industry. She opened Odyssey Barber Co. in October of 2022 with a vision to bring quality haircuts and a welcoming environment to the local area.
Brooke is a Master Barber and a licensed instructor, so you’ll see her teaching as well working with clients! In her free time, Brooke spends her time with her family, reading or learning about new plants.

LAUREN - Master Barber
Lauren has been a licensed cosmetologist since 2012 and obtained her master barber license this year in 2024, bringing over a decade of industry experience to our team. She is a northwestern NC native who relocated to Greenville in 2018 to be with her husband who is an Upstate native. Lauren is a cat mom, lover of cooking, and all things home + hearth, a detail-oriented Virgo, and our resident astrologer.

DERRICK - Apprentice
Derrick joined Odyssey Barber Co. in May of 2024 as a barber apprentice under Brooke Lau. He was born in Greenville, but grew up outside of Pittsburgh, which makes him a diehard Steelers fan. He has spent the last three years as a stay-at-home dad to his daughter, Aurora, and a part-time barista, but has had an interest in becoming a barber for years.
When he's not in the shop, he's probably playing guitar, playing golf, cooking with his family, or watching one of his many Pittsburgh teams.
